I use Tom’s photos all the time in my writing – pretty much every photo on the travel blog was taken by him. Except food. He leaves it up to me to take the food photos. He simply does not understand the fascination with taking a picture of a lovely plate of food when he could be consuming it instead.
When we travel, he takes thousands of photos only a few of which we end of using in various articles. Some of his work is so good, it’s framed and displayed in our home. So I thought I would start a “Photo Friday’ post that will highlight some of his best work.

We spent a few days in Chicago recently and he got this shot of a dock near the Museum Campus. I love the way the chunks of ice fit together like a jigsaw puzzle and the buildings in the background.
